• Understand the project's Vision and requirements, and contribute to the creation of the supplemental requirements, building the low-level technical specifications for a particular platform and/or service solution.Project Planning, Tracking, & Reporting• Estimate the tasks and resources required to design, create (build), and test the code for assigned module(s).• Provide inputs in creating the detailed schedule for the project.• Support the team in project planning activities, in evaluating risks, and shuffle priorities based on unresolved issues.• During development and testing, ensure that assigned parts of the project/modules are on track with respect to schedules and quality.• Note scope changes within the assigned modules and work with the team to shuffle priorities accordingly.• Communicate regularly with the team about development changes, scheduling, and status.• Participate in project review meetings.• Tracking and reporting progress for assigned modulesExperience Level: 12+ YearsDepartment: Quality Engineering / QAAbout the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Consultant Quality Engineer role requires deep technical expertise in test automation frameworks, strong leadership in quality engineering practices, and a passion for delivering high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust automation test frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, and TestNG.
• Drive API testing strategies and execution using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
• Develop and maintain scalable automation test suites integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure quality at every stage of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Utilize JIRA for test planning, defect tracking, and reporting.
• Conduct performance testing using JMeter and analyze results to identify bottlenecks.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Ensure test coverage, traceability, and adherence to quality standards across all releases.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in test automation and quality assurance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 12+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Engineering with a strong focus on test automation and API testing.
• Expertise in Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, JIRA, JMeter, and other QA tools.
• Strong understanding of STLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD processes.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead QA initiatives and mentor team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-based testing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is a plus.
