Website: www.sorbchemindia.com Job Summary: The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for leading and motivating a team of Business Development Executives to achieve organizational sales goals. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, strategizing for market expansion, and collaborating with senior leadership to align team performance with company objectives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Team Leadership & Management: Lead, guide, and manage a team of Business Development Executives. Motivate the team to achieve individual and collective sales targets. Willingness to travel 70 % at customer place self or with the team. Foster a collaborative and positive team environment. 2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: • Identify potential clients through online research, cold calling, and field visits. Initiate contact by sending introductory emails and follow-up communication. Promote the companys products effectively by understanding client requirements. 3. Sales Strategy & Execution: Assist the team with joint field visits and provide on-the-job training. Discussing the next week plan with sales team Develop and maintain a list of potential clients and ensure systematic follow-up. Prepare visit plans and reports for approval and share tour outcomes with seniors. 4. Reporting & Communication: • Submit daily work reports and updates to senior management. • Order forecasting and synchronising with Production team Collaborate with seniors for product knowledge and strategic client visits. Handle tasks and assignments delegated by senior leadership. 5. Market Intelligence & Product Knowledge: Strong knowledge of chromatography techniques and applications Extensive network at R & D, Business Development, executives and purchasing professionals, in the chromatography field with Agro, nutraceutical, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals industries Keep updated on market trends and share insights with the team and management. Refresh and enhance product knowledge through discussions and team interactions. Provide feedback and suggestions for product and service improvements. 6. Goal Achievement & Team Coordination: Ensure timely achievement of team sales targets. Work in harmony with other team members and support cross-functional collaboration. Maintain a productive and professional work environment. Key Skills & Competencies : Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Proactive client acquisition and relationship-building skills Ability to analyse market trends and strategize accordingly Proficient in MS Office, CRM tools, and digital communication platforms Strong organizational and time-management skills Qualifications & Experience : • Bachelors degree Science (Preferred Chemistry), Marketing, or a related field (MBA) • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in business development or sales • Experience in managing a sales team is highly desirable • Experience in industrial products or B2B sales is a plus

BD & provide technical support. Handle Multistep Synthesis. Peptides Synthesis using Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis. Design & synthesis of small molecules in API. Handling synthesis of organic chemical reactions.Knowledge on Instrumentation is a must. Annual bonus Provident fund Health insurance

Plan, setup, monitor, &workup chemical reactions independently. Monitor progress of the reactions by using standard methods & analytical techniques (TLC, GC, HPLC, LCMS etc)Isolate product & Optimize reaction conditions for improved yields & output. - Conduct the experiment as per planning - Calculate reagent quantities, yields, etc. - Enter the experimental observations in Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) - Conduct chemical reactions in batch and photochemical reactors - Handle the chemistries such as photochemistry, alkylation, oxidation, nitration, diazotization, chlorination, fluorination, vapourphase chemistry, etc - Conduct various purification techiques like fractional distillations, column chromatography and extractions - Prepare reports and documents as per product development element review methodology - Maintain the inventory of the reactors as per the laboratory management element - Interpret the GC, HPLC and wet chemistry results

Key responsibilities of this job role include: Design and execute multistep organic syntheses under the supervision of senior scientists. Having knowledge of enzymatic reactions. Perform compound purification using techniques such as column chromatography, recrystallization, HPLC, etc. Characterize synthesized compounds using analytical techniques (NMR, LC-MS, IR, UV-Vis, etc.). Maintain accurate and detailed records of all experiments Participate in group meetings and contribute to scientific discussions.
