As a Robotics Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering the technical scope of projects assigned to you. This includes designing robotic kinematics, dynamics, and motion planning strategies while adhering to specific timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards. You will collaborate with Leads to enhance your technical skills and focus on continuous development. Your typical engineering activities will involve various tasks such as design and development, system integration, safety and compliance studies, testing and validation, documentation, and on-site support. In the design and development phase, you will work on implementing robotic arm and mobile platform configurations, developing trajectory optimization algorithms, and ensuring accurate alignment of robot positions with provided 3D files. For system integration, you will be tasked with integrating perception systems, processing real-time data for enhanced robotic perception, and ensuring seamless communication between robot controllers and external systems. Safety and compliance are paramount, as you will develop safety protocols, perform risk assessments, and validate compliance with industry standards and functional safety requirements. Your role will also involve testing and validation, where you will conduct simulation-based and real-world testing of robotic applications, fine-tune system performance, and ensure system reliability through iterative validation processes. On-site support will require you to travel to customer sites, provide technical assistance, and participate in training end-users on system operation and maintenance. In addition to technical responsibilities, you are expected to participate in concept development, stay updated on technological advancements, review self and peer work, and create design documentation and manuals. Previous experience in robotics and vision systems programming, proficiency in programming tools of FANUC, KUKA, ABB, STAUBLI, COGNEX, strong computer skills, and familiarity with software tools are essential for this role. Soft skills such as working in an international team, possessing a Green Belt 6-Sigma Certification, fluency in English, willingness to travel, and knowledge of additional languages like Spanish, Polish, Chinese, or German will be advantageous. Job Description: We are looking for an experienced and motivated Automation Engineer with a strong background in machine vision systems (preferably Omron) and industrial robotics . The ideal candidate should have successfully executed vision inspection projects across industries like pharma, packaging, electronics, or automotive , and be well-versed in configuring, programming, and troubleshooting vision cameras, lighting systems, and robotic integration . Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and commission machine vision inspection solutions using Omron Vision Systems (FQ2, FH series, etc.) Work with other vision platforms like Cognex, Keyence, Baumer , or Sick (preferred) Integrate vision systems with PLCs, HMIs, and robots for real-time inspection and automation Configure lighting, lenses, and image acquisition for different inspection needs (OCR, defect detection, alignment, etc.) Collaborate with the robotics team to integrate with robot arms (Omron, Yaskawa, Mitsubishi, ABB, etc.) Troubleshoot hardware/software issues at customer sites and ensure robust application deployment Conduct proof of concept (POC) , customer trials, documentation, and end-user training Coordinate with sales and service teams to support project implementation Key Skills Required: Hands-on experience with Omron Vision Systems (FQ, FH Series) Knowledge of Cognex, Keyence, or similar machine vision platforms Good understanding of robotics systems (Omron Scara, Delta, Yaskawa, ABB, etc.) Basic to intermediate knowledge of PLC programming (Sysmac Studio, TIA Portal) Understanding of EtherCAT, Modbus, TCP/IP, and I/O mapping Experience with pharma packaging, label inspection, or pick-and-place automation is a plus Strong problem-solving and system debugging skills
