Currently, Axalta is seeking a JAVA & OPEN-SOURCE TECHNOLOGIES APPLICATION ANALYST to join their team in Gurgaon, India. As a JAVA and OPEN-SOURCE Technologies based Application analyst at Axalta, you will play a pivotal role in building solutions for the business and supporting existing applications. This position requires a high learning ability to stay updated on trending technologies. Collaboration with architects and business teams is essential to lay down the right technology stack and processes to solve business problems effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Taking ownership to resolve system issues promptly. - End-to-end ownership of technical deliverables. - Understanding business requirements and translating them into technology terms. - Developing technical architecture based on business requirements. - Keeping abreast of JAVA and Open-Source trending technologies. - Leading technical feasibility studies on technologies. - Identifying consolidation and standardization opportunities for existing JAVA and Open-Source applications. - Optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability. - Proposing system upgrade opportunities based on current system design. Detailed Responsibilities: - Learning JAVA and OPEN-SOURCE technology frameworks/platforms to assess their capabilities for Axalta's business needs. - Translating business requirements into technical designs and developing desired solutions using the appropriate technology platform. - Assisting support engineers in solving business problems within defined timelines. - Taking accountability for resolving critical incidents and problems as per SLA. - Bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions. - Working with backend developers to ensure the right implementation of solution designs. - Collaborating with team members and stakeholders. - Staying updated on emerging technologies and applying them to operations and activities. - Proposing technological and automation opportunities for existing and new processes. Technical Experience Required: - Proficient understanding of IT service management (ITSM) processes. - Extensive work experience as an IT Business Analyst in the Java & Open-source platform. - Strong understanding of JAVA-based technology frameworks and platforms. - Proficient in SQL or relational databases. - Familiarity with client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks. - Understanding of Web Services and Web API Frameworks. - Ability to set up and maintain development, Quality, and Production environments. - Preferably extensive experience with JAVA based technologies. Domain Experience and other Skills Required: - Minimum 8-12 years of industry experience. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with global exposure. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines. - Knowledge-hungry and willing to learn technology as needed. - Self-initiator requiring minimal supervision. - Experience in team handling and high team spirit. - Preference for candidates with Manufacturing domain knowledge. Education: - Bachelor of Technology in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience. Candidates are expected to provide a portfolio showcasing examples of development work from previous projects.
