Job Description: We are seeking a skilled CAD/CAM Engineer to join our dynamic team at Speedways Electric. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed SolidWorks designs for our new electric buses, as well as the L5 and L7 vehicle category, and programming CNC machines to bring these designs to life. This role requires a combination of creative design skills and technical expertise in CNC programming. Key Responsibilities: - Develop detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks for the vehicle projects. - Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals. - Create and optimize CNC programs for manufacturing components based on SolidWorks designs. - Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring precision and quality in all produced parts. - Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to CNC programming and machine operations. - Work closely with the production team to ensure designs are efficiently translated into high-quality products. - Provide technical support and guidance on manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment. - Identify opportunities for design improvements and process enhancements to increase efficiency and product quality. - Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in CAD/CAM and CNC machining. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in CAD design using SolidWorks and CNC programming. - Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and CNC machine operations. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
