Responsibilities • Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of orthopedic implants and surgical instruments using CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD). • Create and maintain product design documentation including BOMs, design history files, and change records. • Conduct tolerance analysis, DFM (Design for Manufacturing), and DFA (Design for Assembly) checks. • Review and improve existing implant and instrument designs based on feedback from surgeons, clients, and production teams. • Support prototype development, testing, and design validation processes. • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and verification/validation activities. • Stay updated with industry trends, materials, and manufacturing technologies. Experience & Qualifications • 25 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in orthopedic implants or medical device industry. • Diploma/Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. • Experience with SolidWorks, or other 3D CAD platforms is required. • Familiarity with GD&T and documentation standards in medical device design. • Knowledge of implant materials (Titanium, Stainless Steel, PEEK) and surface treatments is an advantage.
