Business Development Officer

We seek a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in building relationships with architects, interior designers, and government departments to drive business growth through specification and project involvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Relationship Building:

  Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, and key government stakeholders to ensure our products are specified in projects.

• Market Research:

  Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive landscape relevant to specifications.

• Networking:

  Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the companys offerings and establish connections within the industry.

• Technical Support:

  Provide technical support and product knowledge to architects and designers, assisting them in selecting the right solutions for their projects.

• Project Management:

  Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery and follow-up on specified projects to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Reporting:

  Maintain accurate records of interactions, project specifications, and sales forecasts, reporting regularly to senior management on progress and opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably in the construction or design industry.
• Proven track record of successfully specifying products through architects and interior designers.
• Strong understanding of government procurement processes and specifications.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
