Job Title: Business Development Manager Location: Gurgaon Department: New Initiative & Partnership Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Pre-Sales & Business Development Manager to drive growth through pre- sales activities, market expansion, and strategic partnerships within the fintech industry. Key Responsibilities: Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform business development strategies. Lead Generation: Identify, qualify, and develop new business leads through various channels, including networking, industry events, and digital platforms. Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at potential client organizations. Understand their needs and present tailored solutions that align with their business objectives. Sales Strategy &Execution: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and contracts. Partnership Development: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to enhance our market position and drive business growth. Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust sales pipeline, track progress, and provide regular reports on business development activities and outcomes. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and customer success, to ensure a seamless customer journey and optimal solution delivery. Market Expansion: Explore new markets and geographic regions to drive business expansion and increase market share. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus. 3+yearsofexperience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the SaaS or insurance technology sector. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Strong understanding of the insurance industry and technology solutions. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and other key stakeholders. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and trends. Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Willingness to travel as needed About Company: Heph originated as an affiliate of InsuranceDekho, a prominent player in the Indian insurtech space. Initially operating under the Partnerships vertical of InsuranceDekho, Heph began as an internal initiative designed to streamline and enhance the distribution of insurance products through multiple channels. This vertical was responsible for building relationships with intermediaries such as banks, NBFCs, brokers, and fintech companies, enabling them to sell insurance products more efficiently. Over time, the team realized that the solutions they were developing could serve a much larger market and address significant inefficiencies in the insurance distribution landscape. Recognizing the potential to scale these operations, the decision was made to create a distinct identity for this vertical. In the last quarter, the Partnerships vertical was spun off and branded as Heph, reflecting its evolution into a full-fledged, independent B2B SaaS insurtech company.
