Mechanical Engineer experience in Li-Ion Battery Pack design, development and testing. (with automotive background) EDUCATION : BE/B.TECH in Mechanical Engineering/equivalent EXPERIENCE : 5 to 7 Years of experience in Mechanical design, development, prototype development and testing preferably having experience in automotive background. RESPONSIBILITIES : Analyze the customer requirements, standards, product requirements and prepare detailed mechanical requirement specification. Prepare mechanical design for Battery pack assembly Plastic enclosures, sheet metal brackets, Die-cast part, Busbars, Insulation sheet design, sealing, assembly techniques, etc. using SolidWorks. Estimation of effort and planning for Mechanical design and development. Coordinate with Circuit team to prepare design layout for electrical components like Circuit board, relay, fuse, wiring harness, etc. Perform design calculations like clearance-creepage, stack-up analysis, glue dozing quantity, screw selection based on strength, Thermal calculations, gasket or sealant design etc. Apply Design For Manufacturing and Design For Assembly guidelines in the design to meet manufacturing and Assembly requirements Plan/strategize for the required analysis for analytical verification of concepts. Analyze the Risk in the design by FMEA methodology in accordance with AIAG-VDA approach. Prepare 2D Manufacturing drawings, conduct tolerance stack-up studies. Prepare test plans, test cases and testing of battery components to confirm the requirements. SKILLSETS : Experience in executing the Automotive project as per process standard IATF16949 Experience in completing at least one product from Requirements to mass production Expertise in SolidWorks CAD Software and knowledge in any simulation software Experience in plastic, sheetmetal, Busbar, sealing design and Die-casting. Exposure in thermal cooling design techniques. Knowledge in material selection based on various properties. Equipment Operation Operate, monitor, and maintain machinery and tools used in battery pack manufacturing, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. Process Improvement Identify inefficiencies or quality issues in the production process and provide actionable suggestions to improve workflow, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Component Handling Safely handle and assemble battery components such as cells, modules, BMS, and wiring in accordance with engineering drawings and standard operating procedures. Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Test Engineer to perform comprehensive system-level testing across a wide range of defense-grade electronic products. The role involves integrated system testing, power supply verification, battery endurance validation, and drone system field evaluations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in both laboratory and field-testing environments and be passionate about high-reliability system validation. Key Responsibilities: Conduct integrated system testing for RF detection systems, counter-drone platforms, and secure communication products. Execute power supply testing at system level, validating voltage regulation, load behavior, backup time calculations, and overall energy efficiency. Perform battery testing including endurance tests, load cycling, efficiency measurements, and environmental stress assessments. Carry out drone system testing to evaluate detection, tracking, jamming effectiveness, and field performance of anti-drone solutions. Develop detailed test plans, test procedures, and test reports according to product specifications and defense standards. Interface closely with design, integration, and QA teams to support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation. Hands on experience on test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF test benches, power supplies, and electronic loads. Support field trials, environmental testing, and validation activities as per customer and internal requirements. Ensure proper documentation of test results and maintain a defect tracking system for failures observed during testing. Assist in system calibration, EMI/EMC pre-compliance testing, and field deployment verifications.
