Automation Testing

As a Quality Assurance Automation Lead at Standard Chartered, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality of code repositories, oversee the execution of functional standards, and provide technical assistance to members of the Technology Chapter. You will collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand test requirements and acceptance criteria, and design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks. Your role will also involve integrating automated tests into the continuous integration and delivery pipeline, monitoring test execution, analyzing test results, and reporting defects to the development team. You will stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in test automation and quality assurance, and participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings to provide input on testability, quality, and automation opportunities. Furthermore, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's quality assurance strategy, contribute to improving software quality, accelerating release cycles, and enhancing customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for empowering engineers within the subdomain with the right tools and practices to improve SDLC process efficiency, focusing on quality assurance, developer experiences, automation, and performance engineering. Your role will also involve people management and capability development within the Chapter, reviewing metrics on capabilities and performance, and driving continual improvement. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure comprehensive test coverage and foster a culture of innovation, transparency, and accountability. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, along with 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation, and service virtualization. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, as well as experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, or Robot Framework, is essential. Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices is required, along with experience in Behavioural Driven Design and continuous integration and delivery tools.
