Audit - Associate

As an Associate at Grant Thornton INDUS, your role involves developing an understanding of the Grant Thornton audit approach, methodology, and tools. You will be expected to demonstrate a working knowledge of auditing and an aptitude for technical accounting. Under the remote service delivery model, you will execute components of audits in an effective and efficient manner. It is essential to gain an understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives to utilize that knowledge during engagements. Flexibility and agility in serving clients are key attributes required for this role. You will be responsible for following instructions from seniors and providing guidance to Analysts, while also assisting in the on-the-job training and coaching of Analysts and new Associates. Anticipating project issues and taking appropriate measures to resolve them will be part of your responsibilities. Regular interaction with the US team via Skype calls is expected to enhance relationships. Attending professional development and training sessions on a regular basis is essential to stay updated with industry standards. Adapting to the Grant Thornton corporate culture and participating in the buddy program are integral parts of your role. The ideal candidate should possess basic analytical, technical, and accounting skills, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Strong interpersonal skills, project management abilities to handle multiple tasks, basic people management skills, and problem-solving skills are crucial for success in this role. Effective written and oral communication skills are necessary to explain tasks and processes to Senior Associates and write professional emails.
