Job Description

L&T Construction and Mining Machinery is looking for an Assistant Manager in the Construction Equipment Business based in Salem, Tamil Nadu. L&T Construction & Mining Machinery is a part of the Larsen & Toubro Group, a prominent engineering conglomerate in India. With a focus on excavator technology, L&T has established itself as a leader in the Construction & Mining Equipment Industry. The company has forged strategic partnerships with global giants like Komatsu-Japan to offer top-quality products that meet international standards of quality, safety, and reliability. As an Assistant Manager in Sales, you will play a crucial role as a primary point of contact for customers, offering pre and after-sales advice. Your responsibilities will include managing the end-to-end sales cycle, driving business development through customer acquisition, and fostering long-term relationships with clients to enhance brand recall. Leveraging your technical expertise and sales skills, you will provide guidance and support on a range of LTCEL & Komatsu products. Key Responsibilities: - Identify potential sales leads that can benefit from company products or services in designated regions. - Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers by understanding and addressing their requirements effectively. - Convince clients that our products or services are the best fit for their needs in terms of quality, price, and delivery. - Negotiate contract terms and conditions to align with both client and company expectations. - Engage with existing and potential customers, as well as competitors and financiers, to promote Komatsu and LTCEL products. - Provide guidance to dealer Sales Engineers and ensure product support and finalization of deals. - Regularly report on machine performance and gather customer testimonials. - Strive to achieve the quarterly equipment sales targets through focused efforts. - Identify key customers in the area and oversee all necessary activities, including sales, service, parts, and training, to strengthen customer relationships. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 8-20 years of experience in selling construction equipment such as excavators, compactors, loaders, etc. - Strong technical knowledge of construction equipment products. - Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with stakeholders. - Proficient in written and verbal communication (English and Tamil). - Confident, outgoing, detail-oriented, persistent, and resilient. - Effective negotiation skills. - Strong teamworking and organizational abilities.
