Associate - Software Engineer

The Software Engineer role at Firstsource requires developing capabilities to build software systems using various software and cloud technologies. You should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with expertise in software programming, software database management, and creating visualization and interaction layers on Web/Windows platforms. Integration with underlying technology frameworks and computer operating systems like Windows/Unix is essential. Exposure to AI/ML and Data science will be advantageous. Your responsibilities will include developing and building software applications/systems based on design documents across Front-end (web/windows), Back-end (.net/java/python), and Database systems. You will need to follow best practices for design, coding, automated testing, and deployment to production, working effectively within an agile-at-scale framework. Communication of status, updates, and plans to project leadership is crucial, along with the willingness to learn, acquire, and get certified on new technologies as required by projects. Any experience in AI, ML, and Data science will be an added advantage. Key requirements for the role include proficiency in at least one of Java/.Net/Python/NodeJS, good knowledge of JavaScript, at least one of ASP.Net/Angular/ReactJS, RDBMS (Oracle/SQL Server/Postgre) and SQL, familiarity with database management tools like Liquibase/Hibernate, understanding of DevOps (e.g., Azure DevOps) and cloud PaaS, knowledge of coding standards, debugging ability, software development lifecycle, and processes. Experience with cloud-based deployment (AWS/Azure), model performance monitoring, and troubleshooting issues is essential. Strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team, and familiarity with Docker and Git are required. Additionally, exposure to AI/ML frameworks like Pythin, Keras, Pytorch, and libraries such as scikit-learn, as well as practical application of statistical analysis and mathematical modeling concepts, will be beneficial for this role.
