ASSISTANT MANAGER - PRODUCTION

• Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
• Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces, adhering to drawing and specification standards
• Coordination and guidance to the support staff production operators and supervisors for smooth running of the machines and effective output / checking efficiency of Machine data and appropriate cycle time of parts and production cycle time efficiency
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; initiation of sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Working closely with sub suppliers for correct parts and guidance to sub suppliers along with Cross functional team of Purchase and Planning / Quality
• Work closely with tooling suppliers, get tooling requirements, offer all necessary quotations, involve in tooling orders and requirements with purchase manager

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / bachelors degree in manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering
• ~ 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering / Process Planning / Process Development and/or Process Improvement is required
• Knowledge of CNC programming (HAAS, Mazatrol, Heidenhan) is required
• experience in working out on the plant floor with day-to-day machining operations and well versed in identifying tools, special tools, boring applications with involvement for procurement with various tooling suppliers
• Basic knowledge of Production Process Flows, Control Plans, Man-Time-Machine studies (MTM) is preferred
• Basic knowledge of CAM programming on Hypermill, TOPSOLID will be an added advantage
• Self-starter / Able to make decisions and perform job duties with minimal management input
• Must be able to communicate in written and verbal form within all levels of the organization
