Job Title :- Assistant Manager Legal (Litigation)

JOB PURPOSE

Providing in-house advisory guidance for establishment of best practices within the legal framework of the organization so as to secure & safeguard the interests of the company.

Role & responsibilities

• Experience in handling litigations , court proceedings - both criminal and civil matters, consumer disputes, employment, or labor laws, IPR disputes, arbitrations. Cheque bounce litigations, suit for recovery etc.,
• Research into new applicable laws regulations and advice on regulatory requirements, legal risks, and mitigation strategies
• Drafting and vetting court pleadings (including plaints, replies, written statements, rejoinders, affidavits and applications, notices, and replies) as well as consumer matters
• Manage and resolve conflict to avoid dispute escalation
• Participate in and /or lead negotiations with both internal and external customers /stakeholders
• Prepare Litigation Status Report in MS excel, power point etc.
• Identify and consult on legal risks in connection with the development of new business and products
• Handling litigation mandates from inception till final hearing
• Will be actively involved in all litigations including briefing counsels and appearing before the courts
• Timely revert to all notices

Experience

• 2 to 4 years in legal department of a corporate entity
• Exposure to Healthcare/ Pharmaceuticals industry will be preferred
• Experience in contract management, compliance management will be an added advantage

Qualifications

Graduate in law (LL.B.)
