Job Tile : Executive Registered Nurse/ Senior Executive Registered Nurse. Qualification - ANM/GNM Experience - 1+ year - 10 years Job Description: Executive Registered Nurse provides direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. In addition to basic nursing care, carries responsibilities in collaboration with the Senior Nurse Executive which includes (but are not limited to): Daily activities: Provides age and culturally appropriate care to patient. Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans. Takes handover from the outgoing staff based on the allotment of patients. Takes inventory of the area instruments and articles as per the responsibility allotted by the Lead Nurse specialist. Reports to the Lead Nurse Specialist/ Specialist Nursing Care/ Senior Nurse Executive problem faced in caring and safety of the patients. Monitors and adjusts specialized and routine biomedical equipments used for the care of the patients. Takes responsibility in maintaining the equipments to the best of usage and reports to higher authority if breakdown happens. Prepares, administers and records prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments as per hospital policy (High risk High Alert /LASA medication, Narcotic policy and Verbal order policy). Assists treating consultant during examination, treatment and procedures, which can include life-saving situations. Analyzes lab results and reports as required to the concerned authority for faster treatment. Provides education, information and emotional support to the patients family and caregivers based on the disease condition. Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms as per the protocol of the hospital. Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting as described by the reporting authority and line of control in the hospital. Attend the CNE activities conducted in house and out house as per the job requirement and specifications. Other Responsibilities : Completes required orientation as directed by facility Follows Cloud Nine safety rules and procedures while on assignment. Shift the patient back to her room/ward and again follow the order of consultant Explain patient relative all relevant information before and after the procedure/surgery. If the anxiety level of the patient is high, the nurse can inform the medical officer and if the need be can also inform Gynecologist. Taking rounds of the patient at regular interval and fill up vitals of the patients as per nursing sheet. Explain the patients relative to visit the drug store and pay for the drugs used in the OT Perform the following activities before discharge: Give medicines, operation CD, reports and discharge card if applicable to the patient Remove VIGO/Urine bag etc. as per nursing protocol Check all the vitals like, Nausea, Vomiting, fever, BP etc. of the patient Check the payment status of the patient Wave a happy and get well soon goodbye to the patient and assure them that they will be fine soon and incase of any query they can always contact Dr. Mira Dave Maintain drug stock everyday and check the expiry of the drug every 3 months Give trigger injections to OPU patients 2 days before the OPU procedure To prepare dressing tray and send it for autoclave. The autoclave tray can be used only for two days otherwise it has to be autoclaved again. Assist Gyneacologists/Medical Officers in dressing (Medical) of the patients. To be always kind and well-mannered to the patients and colleagues and remain well groomed as per policy of the hospital. To maintain Medical Records as per law To follow all instructions for Medical Waste Management To remain groomed as per hospital policy and maintain cordial relations with patients and coleagues While joinning the duty for the day take the message from the previous duty nurse and while Maintain the order book for the injections/medicines given to the patients.
