Role & responsibilities

Job Description

1. Vigilance and Compliance Oversight:
• Develop, implement, and enforce policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential risks and irregularities within financial processes and transactions.
• Investigate allegations of misconduct, fraud, or unethical behavior, ensuring prompt and thorough resolution.
2. Fraud Prevention and Detection:
• Design and execute strategies for preventing and detecting fraudulent activities, including embezzlement, misappropriation, and financial irregularities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to establish controls and mechanisms to mitigate fraud risks.
3. Training and Awareness Programs:
• Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on compliance, ethical practices, and vigilance measures within the finance department.
• Foster a culture of integrity and ethics through regular communication and awareness campaigns.
4. Reporting and Documentation:
• Prepare detailed reports on vigilance activities, investigations, and compliance assessments, presenting findings to senior management as necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation of vigilance-related activities and investigations for record-keeping and future reference.
5. Stakeholder Coordination:
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, audit, and human resources departments, to address vigilance-related issues effectively.
• Liaise with external regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies, and industry associations on vigilance matters as required.
6. Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with changes in regulations, laws, and best practices related to vigilance and compliance within the finance sector.
• Recommend and implement improvements to existing processes and procedures to enhance vigilance measures.
