The ideal candidate for this position should have a minimum of 4 to 15 years of experience in Design and Engineering of GIS and AIS Substations projects for voltage levels of 66 kV and above up to 765 KV. In the Pre-Bid Design phase, you will be responsible for carrying out HV/EHV substation design and drawings for both AIS and GIS substations. This includes preparation of equipment specification, layout drawings, and calculations such as short circuit force, earthing, direct lightning stroke protection, conductor sizing, CT/CVT sizing, and battery sizing. Knowledge of standards such as IEC, IEEE, ANSI is required, along with experience in substation designs ranging from 66kV to 765kV. EHV substation designs and switchyard layouts experience are essential. Proficiency in AutoCAD software is a must, and familiarity with software like ETAP, CDEGs is preferable. You must be able to work independently, possess good communication skills, and effectively engage with customers and vendors. During the Execution of Contract phase, you will guide the design team in preparing SLD, general arrangement drawings, electrical layout, sections, EKD, DSLP, earthing layout, cable trench layout, switch yard illumination, cable schedule, and bill of materials (BOMs). Proficiency in various busbar schemes is necessary. You will review equipment vendors drawings/documents and ensure the team does the same. Interface with control and protection requirements, as well as knowledge of reviewing schemes, is desirable. Proficiency in design calculations for earthing design, sag tension, DSLP, short circuit forces, and equipment sizing is crucial. Monitoring the progress of work for both projects and tenders, ensuring timely deliverables without delay, handling/monitoring draftspersons, and coordinating with civil design engineers where necessary are all part of the role requirements.,
