Job Description

The Cisco AI Software & Platform Group is focused on delivering Generative AI based solutions to transform Cisco's existing products and enhance customer interactions. The group is dedicated to introducing innovative offerings that enable customers to implement Generative AI responsibly and at scale. Through internal platforms, the team aims to leverage this technology across Cisco's Security, Enterprise Networking, Collaboration, and Splunk portfolios. As a highly experienced and innovative DevOps Engineer, your role at Cisco will involve architecting and developing scalable and secure cloud infrastructure. You will play a crucial part in championing best-in-class DevOps practices organization-wide, working closely with diverse teams to ensure smooth code delivery, system reliability, and operational excellence for our SaaS platforms. Your responsibilities will include implementing end-to-end CI/CD workflows in a distributed environment, focusing on on-demand and scheduled builds and deployments with zero downtime. You will lead the scaling of microservice-based platforms across multiple regions, emphasizing container orchestration, cost optimization, and automated scaling solutions. Additionally, you will spearhead cross-functional DevOps projects, collaborate with various teams to streamline delivery pipelines, and advocate for automation throughout the infrastructure stack using tools such as Terraform, Helm, and GitOps frameworks. To succeed in this role, you should possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least 10 years of DevOps experience. A strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and scripting skills (Python, Bash, Go) is essential. Preferred qualifications include expertise in CI/CD tooling, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native patterns, as well as proven leadership in engineering projects and excellent communication skills.
