As a JV Assistant Football Coach at Satellite High School, you will be responsible for supporting the school's football program. All part-time extracurricular employees in this role must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. You will need to hold a BA/BS from a regionally accredited program/university and possess a Florida Athletic Coaching Certification, specifically a Professional 5 Year or Temporary* 3 Year Athletic Coaching Certificate issued by the State of Florida Department of Education or be eligible and apply upon extension of offer. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two (2) years of documented sport-specific and age level (Secondary) specific coaching experience, with a strong understanding of the sport at the competition level. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage large groups of students/athletes are essential for this role. Additionally, having three (3) to five (5) years of coaching experience is preferred. Please note that Temporary Athletic Coaching Certificates are not renewable by the State of Florida. To obtain a five-year (Professional) Athletic Coaching Certificate issued by the State of Florida Department of Education, you will be required to complete Sports Specific, Sports Medicine, and Sports Theory courses and hold a valid CPR card. This position is a 4-month contract with 3 hours per day commitment.
