As a VoIP Engineer at our organization, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing scalable VoIP systems to meet the communication needs of the organization. Your expertise in VoIP infrastructure will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality and reliable communication services. You will be actively involved in monitoring and troubleshooting VoIP network performance, call quality, and connectivity issues. Your problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in maintaining optimal VoIP system functionality. Documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures will be a key aspect of your role. You will estimate the effort required for the development and implementation of VoIP systems while staying updated on industry trends and best practices in the VoIP domain. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Telecommunications and have at least 3 years of experience in Voice/VoIP engineering. Proficiency in SIP, RTP, SDP, and other VoIP & WebRTC protocols is necessary, along with strong programming skills in C or Golang. Your ability to plan and execute scalable, secure, and resilient voice infrastructure will be vital. You should possess excellent troubleshooting skills and a systematic approach to resolving voice-related issues. Hands-on experience with both Enterprise and Open Source VoIP solutions is preferred, along with a solid understanding of networking fundamentals and experience with Linux/Unix operating systems. As a collaborative team player, you will lead cross-functional projects and demonstrate self-motivation, ownership, and accountability. Preferred skills include experience with speech recognition technologies, real-time voice streaming, Voice AI, and a background in backend programming.
