Key Responsibilities: Manage and tune WAF solutions to optimize performance and reduce false positives. Analyze web traffic logs using tools like Splunk, Wireshark, or custom scripts. Develop, test, and implement WAF policies tailored to specific applications. Collaborate with application and security teams for onboarding, tuning, and incident response. Maintain detailed documentation of WAF configurations and tuning procedures. Stay updated on the latest web security threats and trends. Integrate WAF solutions into existing security infrastructure. Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Required Qualifications: Proven experience with Akamai Web Application and API Protection (formerly Kona). Experience with at least two major WAF platforms (e.g., Akamai, F5, AWS, GCP). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in log analysis and pattern recognition. Familiarity with automation tools such as Python, Terraform, and JIRA. Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. Preferred Qualifications: Background in SOC or CSIRT environments. Experience in developing custom scripts for log analysis. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
