Job Title: Area Sales Manager Karnataka/Andhra Pradesh/ Tamilnadu/ Telangana Department: Sales Reports To: Business Sales Head. Job Summary: The Area Sales Manager Karnataka is responsible for driving sales growth and executing strategic sales initiatives across the designated region. This role involves managing relationships with both retail customers and key institutional clients such as builders and contractors. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of building materials, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the local market landscape in Karnataka. Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy & Execution Develop and implement effective sales plans to achieve revenue targets and grow market share in the region. Consistently meet or exceed sales targets in alignment with business objectives. Analyze market trends, monitor competitor activities, and recommend pricing and promotional strategies. Expand retail presence by developing new counters and overseeing the performance of multiple retail outlets. Client Relationship Management Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with retail customers, contractors, and institutional clients. Provide tailored support to clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business. Product Knowledge Maintain in-depth knowledge of building materials, including their features, benefits, and applications. Educate and train retail partners and sales staff on product offerings to enhance customer experience and sales effectiveness. Communication & Collaboration Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills in English, Hindi, and Kannada. Collaborate effectively with internal teams including marketing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Qualifications & Skills: Proven experience in a sales or business development role, preferably within the building materials or construction industry. Strong negotiation, retail partner network, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage a geographically dispersed team and multiple retail accounts. Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools. Multilingual: Fluent in English, Hindi, and Kannada.
