We are seeking an experienced senior employment attorney to join the Employment Legal Team reporting to the Vice President of Global Employment Legal and provide strategic partnership and employment legal guidance in support of our growing Adobe India business. As an active and positive member of the Employment Legal Team working out of Adobe's Bangalore or Noida office, you will partner closely with Adobe's Employee Experience team and be a member of the EX India leadership team. You will provide solutions-oriented, risk-based legal guidance on all aspects of employment law, including complex employee relations and performance management matters, HR investigations, labor matters, advising on harassment prevention strategies, wage and working hours, leave of absence, and accommodation laws. You will actively collaborate with critical partners on global/regional projects and issues to help uphold Adobe's high ethical standards. When needed, you will manage employment claims and litigation matters in partnership with Adobe's Litigation team. To succeed in this role, you should be a qualified lawyer in India with at least 18+ years of deep employment law experience at a reputable law firm and/or in-house at a multinational company supporting matters in India and experience driving global initiatives as part of a global organization. Experience in the technology sector is a plus. You should be a strategic problem-solver with excellent legal and business judgment, strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple groups and functions. Being a self-starter who can operate independently in a dynamic global environment is essential. You should have an approachable, easy-going, and flexible manner with a great sense of humor. Additionally, you should have the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive process improvement and scale, and work flexible hours as well as travel globally to the U.S. and across the region. Role & responsibilities 1. Payroll Processing & Management: Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for blue-collar workers, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Ensure timely salary disbursements, deductions, and reimbursements. Handle payroll discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently. 2. Compliance & Regulations: Ensure compliance with labor laws, minimum wages, PF, ESI, PT, LWF, and other statutory requirements. Maintain payroll records in accordance with regulatory standards. Coordinate with finance and legal teams for manpower vendor payments, audits and inspections. 3. Attendance & Timekeeping: Collaborate with HR and operations to track attendance, leaves, overtime, and shifts. Verify biometric or manual attendance records for accuracy. 4. Coordination & Reporting: Work closely with HR, finance, and vendors for payroll execution. Prepare payroll reports, analytics, and MIS reports for management review. Address employee queries related to salary, deductions, and tax computations. 5. Process Improvement & Automation: Identify and implement payroll process improvements to enhance efficiency. Work with respective software teams to streamline payroll automation and reduce errors. Preferred candidate profile Experience: 3-7 years in payroll processing, preferably for blue-collar workers. Education: Bachelors degree in HR, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred). Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software (HRMS tools). Knowledge: Strong understanding of statutory compliances (PF, ESI, LWF, etc.). Soft Skills: Attention to detail, problem-solving, and stakeholder management.
