Position: Visual Designer

Location: Remote or Pune Office

Some of our work includes modernizing UNICEF’s global platforms, rebuilding Stanford's infrastructure, and winning Splash Awards for our work with Diabetes.org.

We’ve also supported legal aid organizations, research institutions, and healthcare platforms dealing with legacy sprawl and fragmented systems, and built AI assistants and agents using our orchestration system, Aeldris.

Job Description

Brief:

We're hiring a Visual Designer who understands and can apply the basic principles of design across their work, and knows that just because the tools change, the principles don't.

Someone who understands that GenAI is changing how we create and how ideas come together. You know the difference between style and intention, between delivering something and making a difference. You know when to hold back, when to push, and why it matters.

Every element has a reason to exist. We're not looking for decoration. We're looking for concepts and visuals that communicate a brand and what it stands for.

As a Visual Designer, you will:

Turn ideas into visuals that are clear, intentional, and rooted in strong design principles.
Create, update, and apply brand guidelines across all outputs.
Build templates and scalable, reusable assets that other teams can use independently.
Design for events and print, from trade show booths to the details that shape the offline experience.
Work with marketing across campaigns, social, advertising, and collateral.
Work with UX/UI designers on visual elements, mockups, and screens.
Create visual part of the case studies that showcase product and engineering work.
Create motion graphics, short videos, and micro-interactions using tools like After Effects or Premiere Pro.
Use GenAI as part of your workflow where it improves speed or clarity, without replacing the craft.
Understand that design doesn’t stop at the brief. Ask the right questions, and know why you're working on something.
You understand who the brand is speaking to, where it’s showing up, and how the work will be used. You shape the final output with the audience, the context, and the business goal in mind.
Design with intent. Every output should be worth the effort it takes to create it.

Qualifications and soft skills that matter

A strong grasp of the design process and visual fundamentals: typography, layout, composition, and visual hierarchy
Confidence working in Figma and Illustrator, or whatever helps you bring ideas to life
Working knowledge of After Effects or Premiere Pro is useful but not required
A portfolio that shows range across brand, product, and motion is a bonus. Strong storytelling is a must
The ability to take a loose brief or abstract idea and turn it into something clear and usable
A basic understanding of UI/UX is helpful but not essential. We’ll figure it out together
Experience creating short-form content with speed and intent. Agility matters
You ask the right questions, challenge vague input, and design with context in mind
You care who you're designing for, not just what you're designing
You're open to feedback and care about the culture, values, and brand you're contributing to

Nice to have skills:

Experience working with fast-moving product/tech teams
Comfort with tight timelines and fast feedback cycles
Interest in visual storytelling across formats like short-form video, social design, or motion
Exposure to creative work outside design: photography, writing, or storyboarding
A genuine interest in how AI is changing the way ideas are formed, shaped, and communicated
