Video Game Technical Artist (Senior)

As a Senior Technical Artist at Tentworks Interactive, you will play a crucial role in the creation of engaging and immersive video games. Acting as a liaison between the art and programming teams, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the game's vision is brought to life while upholding performance and technical standards. You will focus on optimizing art assets, devising technical solutions, and providing guidance to junior artists to enhance their skills. Your key responsibilities will include collaborating with artists and game designers to establish efficient art production pipelines, optimizing 3D models, textures, and animations for optimal performance on various platforms, and developing tools to streamline the art production process. You will also be tasked with addressing technical issues related to art assets, creating shaders and materials that align with the game's visual style, and mentoring junior artists on technical aspects while promoting best practices. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 7 years of experience as a Technical Artist in the gaming industry, with a robust portfolio showcasing your technical art skills. Proficiency in industry-standard tools like Maya, Blender, Unity, or Unreal Engine is essential, along with a strong grasp of shaders, lighting, and rendering techniques. Your problem-solving abilities, coupled with expertise in programming/scripting languages and custom tool development, will be instrumental in addressing technical challenges effectively.
