As an Audiologist at Soft Hear Speech, Hearing & Vertigo Clinic, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and managing hearing and balance disorders in patients of all age groups. Your primary responsibilities will involve conducting diagnostic hearing assessments such as pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, tympanometry, OAE, and BERA. You will also diagnose and manage conditions related to hearing loss, tinnitus, auditory processing, and balance disorders. Additionally, fitting, programming, and troubleshooting hearing aids, cochlear implants, and assistive listening devices will be part of your daily tasks. Furthermore, you will provide vestibular evaluations and rehabilitation for patients experiencing dizziness and balance issues. Educating patients and their caregivers on hearing conservation, communication strategies, and available treatment options will also be a key aspect of your role. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including ENT specialists and neurologists, to ensure comprehensive patient care will be essential. Keeping accurate patient records and staying updated on the latest advancements in audiology research and technology will also be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Audiology or Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology. Possessing an RCI License or eligibility for RCI certification in Audiology is crucial. Your role will involve developing personalized therapy plans to address patient-specific needs and enhance their communication skills and quality of life. By utilizing your expertise in speech therapy, you will make a significant impact on the lives of your patients. Your key responsibilities will include conducting assessments for various disorders such as speech, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues. You will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized therapy programs tailored to each patient's requirements. Providing treatment for articulation disorders, stuttering, aphasia, dysarthria, and voice disorders will be part of your daily tasks. Assisting patients with neurological speech impairments, such as post-stroke aphasia and cognitive-communication deficits, will also be crucial.
