As a Fleet Performance Manager at Maersk Tankers, you will play a crucial role in leading the Vessel Performance efforts. You will be responsible for overseeing fleet-wide performance evaluations, conducting technical root cause analyses, and implementing corrective actions. Your main responsibilities will include monitoring and troubleshooting inefficiencies in vessel fuel consumption, engine performance, and auxiliary systems across a global client base. You will coordinate detailed investigations, develop action plans, and work closely with the data performance analyst to identify performance abnormalities. Additionally, you will lead client communications, performance meetings, and monthly vessel performance reviews. It is essential to maintain a deep understanding of modern technologies and serve as a technical advisor for decarbonization and energy efficiency projects. Your role will also involve planning and coordinating crew training, ensuring alignment with client KPIs and regulatory frameworks, and working towards product developments and changing performance standards. The ideal candidate for this position should be a Chief Engineer (Class 1 COC) with recent sailing experience on tankers or gas carriers. You should have at least 2 years of shore-based experience in vessel performance or energy efficiency, strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in stakeholder management. A proven track record in conducting root cause analysis and implementing performance improvement measures is highly desirable. Moreover, you should possess the ability to lead and coach a small performance analyst team for data support and diagnostics. Position-Chartering Manager -Chennai Job Summary: Responsible for overseeing the commercial and operational activities of the fleet, ensuring efficient vessel performance, cost-effective voyage planning, and strict compliance with maritime regulations. This role involves direct coordination with charterers, agents, port authorities, and technical teams to optimize vessel utilization and maximize profitability. Key Responsibilities: Voyage Planning & Management: Plan and optimize vessel voyages for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Ensure adherence to charter party terms. Monitor voyage progress and ensure charter party requirements are met. Charter Party Management: Monitoring and follow the charterers upcoming tenders, negotiate charter hire rates during negotiations Ensure charter terms are strictly followed, and all obligations are met. Handle post-fixture activities, including laytime calculations and dispute resolutions. Port Operations Coordination: Liaise with port agents for berthing schedules, customs clearances, Conversion and Reversion Monitor port activities to minimize turnaround times and operational delays. Address any port or cargo-related issues promptly. Bunker Management: Oversee fuel consumption, bunker supply, and optimize bunkering strategies. Financial Management: Monitor voyage costs and prepare budgets for commercial operations. Verify and negotiate port disbursements with agents, bunker invoices, and other operational expenses. Follow with charterers to make sure all charter hire dues are paid timely. Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead and coordinate with operations teams, vessel masters, and port agents. Conduct performance reviews and provide guidance to team members. Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly charterer outstanding. Prepare Net TCE report after completion of contract Complying Monthly Indian Flag ship status.
