Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Value Stream Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in optimizing the flow of value through our systems and processes, ensuring that our teams deliver high-quality products efficiently and effectively. You will leverage your strong background in Lean and Agile methodologies, excellent analytical skills, and passion for continuous improvement while leading Business Analysts and Scrum Masters within the Data Platform Value Stream. Key Responsibilities: Act as a servant leader to agile teams, educating and coaching them to maximize efficiencies and performance in Agile practices, focusing on delivering customer value and embracing continuous improvement. Collaborate closely with Product Management, Agile Team Members, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on value delivery and prioritization of initiatives. Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and System Demos, ensuring alignment across teams and stakeholders. Identify and manage dependencies and risks within the value stream, facilitating communication and collaboration among teams. Remove impediments by identifying the right personnel and solutions. Establish and maintain open and clear lines of communication to facilitate transparency within teams. Lead continuous improvement initiatives by implementing best practices and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability. Mentor and guide Business Analysts and Scrum Masters, ensuring effective practices are followed and facilitating their professional development. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in process improvement, Lean management, and Agile methodologies within the financial industry for software development teams. Strong understanding of Lean principles, value stream mapping, and waste reduction techniques. Proven experience in leading and mentoring Business Analysts and Scrum Masters, fostering collaboration and effective practices. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, as well as familiarity with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Teams, SharePoint). Relevant certifications, such as Lean Six Sigma, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), are preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing environments. A passion for continuous improvement and driving operational excellence.
