The senior DBA position will be responsible for maintaining the companysdatabase (currently MS SQL Server/Oracle Server) including back-up, performancetuning, capacity planning, Monitoring critical events documentation. Key Areas of Responsibilities Create and managemultiple databases and assist in capacity planning. Monitor, maintaindatabase systems and troubleshoot problems that may arise. Developstrategies and implement solutions for managing back-ups, restoration andreplication. Effectivelycoordinate and communicate with all the stakeholders (internal teams andclients). Set up andmaintain database infrastructure for the companys BI needs. Managing SQLServer/Oracle Server Database Administration functions involving: Installation,configuration, High Availability and upgradation of server software and psyches Daily healthcheck of Production Server. Involved in userprofile creation and user rights management as well as releasing locksaccording to the users request Creation administration of Jobs, Alerts and alldatabase objects, including tables, indexes, views and procedures Planning periodicbackups, recovery, and monitoring procedures of all databases Creating schemaobjects, logical and physical structures Providing supportto the customer sites that are having mission critical business environments Providingpost-implementation, application maintenance and enhancement support withregard to the product / software application Integration withother modules, integration user acceptance testing extending postgo-live support, including training support to end-users Acting asescalations contact for mission critical revenue processing applicationsand drive solutions with complete end-to-end ownership Coordinating withactivities related to development test for Project Release Qualification : MCA, B.Tech/B.E in Computer Science
