As an IT- Sr Systems Engineer at Cadence, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability, reliability, scalability, and manageability of the data storage environment. With a minimum of 4-8 years of relevant experience, your primary responsibilities will include providing Level 2/3 technical system expertise, overseeing the resolution of outages, service level issues, and user/customer support needs in collaboration with Operations Support. Your duties will also involve creating and maintaining documentation related to infrastructure systems, design, configuration, support, and processes. You will be expected to diagnose and address complex configuration and bottleneck issues within a sophisticated application and systems infrastructure, as well as assist with backup & recovery procedures. Your active participation in change control activities to stay informed about scheduled work is crucial for the smooth functioning of the systems. Ideally, you should possess a good working knowledge of Foreman, Elk, and Grafana. As a member of the Core automation team, you will be tasked with automating operations to manage Unix infrastructure on a global scale.
