We are a leading global pharmaceutical company committed to improving lives through innovative healthcare solutions. With a strong presence across various therapeutic areas, we are expanding our footprint in the UK market and are looking for a dynamic, results-oriented Country Manager to lead our UK operations. At present company manufacturing its Pharmaceuticals products through its outsourcing partners like: USV, Teva, Micro Labs, Maiva Pharma (Earlier known as Global Pharmatech), Steril-Gene Life Sciences, SC Sindan Pharma, Morningside Pharmaceuticals, Kalceks etc. & supplying to its customers globally in Australia, New Zealand, USA, Europe, Canada etc.
Role & responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy:
- Develop and execute the strategic vision for the UK market, aligning with the overall global corporate strategy.
- Lead and inspire a high-performing UK-based team to drive business growth and operational excellence.
- Establish and maintain a strong presence in the market by developing key relationships with stakeholders, healthcare professionals, and industry influencers.
- Drive business decisions through market intelligence, competitive analysis, and consumer insights.
- Collaborate closely with regional and global teams to ensure alignment with broader organizational goals.
P&L Management:
- Oversee the financial performance of the UK market, including budget planning, forecasting, and expense management.
- Ensure that the UK market meets its financial objectives, including revenue, profit, and cost management targets.
- Report on key financial metrics and ensure accountability for all financial performance.
Sales & Marketing:
- Lead and direct the UK sales and marketing teams to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
- Develop and implement market-specific marketing strategies and campaigns in alignment with the companys global brand positioning.
- Monitor sales performance, providing regular updates and making necessary adjustments to strategy.
Regulatory & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all UK regulatory requirements related to pharmaceuticals, including medicines licensing, distribution, and advertising.
- Build and maintain relationships with UK regulatory authorities (e.g., MHRA, NICE).
- Lead efforts to ensure the company meets industry standards for good clinical practice, pharmacovigilance, and ethical marketing.
Business Development & Partnerships:
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities, including partnerships, acquisitions, and collaborations that will enhance the companys position in the UK market.
- Strengthen relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry.
Talent Management:
- Lead talent development and succession planning for the UK team, ensuring that the organization attracts, retains, and develops top talent.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, ensuring the team is engaged and aligned with company values.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities for the leadership team and employees.
Preferred candidate profile
- B.Sc / B.Pharm + MBA / PGDBM with 10 to 15 years experience in International Business Operation with growing pharmaceuticals preferably with leadership or management experience
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
- Proven track record in leading and growing operations in the UK market, ideally within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare sectors.
- UK market exposure is mandatory.
- Solid understanding of UK pharmaceutical regulations, market access, and healthcare systems.
- Strong experience in P&L management and a demonstrated ability to drive business growth and profitability.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and collaborating with global stakeholders
- Strong strategic thinking & business acumen with the ability to make data driven decisions.

- Proven ability to manage and motivate teams towards achieving ambitious business objectives.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
