As a Voice AI Engineer, you play a crucial role in shaping the next era of human-machine interaction, where seamless conversations take place in real-time with voice-first intelligence. Your responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining real-time audio communication pipelines using technologies such as WebSockets, Redis, and Django Channels. Integration and optimization of Speech-to-Text (STT) and Text-to-Speech (TTS) engines for efficient communication are also part of your tasks. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to embed Large Language Models (LLMs) like OpenAI, Claude, and Gemini into dynamic conversational flows is essential for success in this role. You are expected to continuously monitor, test, and debug production systems to ensure high system uptime and low error rates. Conducting R&D-style experiments to validate new tools, frameworks, or model integrations, from Whisper to Eleven Labs, is also a key aspect of your job. Writing clean, modular, well-documented code, participating in code reviews, and engaging in architecture discussions are integral parts of your daily routine. To excel in this role, you must have experience working with technologies such as Python, Django REST Framework (DRF), Django Channels, WebSockets, Redis Pub/Sub, Celery, STT, TTS, LLM integrations, and AWS infrastructure. A passion for Voice AI, a builder's mindset focused on rapid prototyping and problem-solving, development experience in Python/Django, and an understanding of asynchronous programming, WebSockets, and task queues like Celery are highly valued qualities. Enthusiasm or prior exposure to voice technologies (STT/TTS) or LLM-driven applications will be beneficial. Hands-on experience with tools like Whisper, ElevenLabs, Google Cloud STT/TTS, as well as building chatbots, voice bots, or LLM-based apps, are considered bonus points.
