You should also have experience in creating toolpaths and optimizing manufacturing processes. Additionally, the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications, proficiency in VERICUT software, strong attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are essential. Good communication and teamwork abilities are crucial for effective collaboration with engineers and production teams. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required for this position. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in CAM programming.
