Position Overview We are seeking an experienced professional with hands-on expertise in export documentation, licensing, and compliance processes for DGFT SCOMET (Special Chemicals, Organisms, Materials, Equipment and Technologies) items, specifically in the sectors of drones, optronics, and military-grade equipment. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and compliant exports in line with Indian and international export control regulations. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end export documentation for SCOMET-listed items, ensuring full compliance with DGFT and other applicable export control regulations. Prepare, submit, and track SCOMET license applications and handle all post-approval compliance requirements with DGFT and other regulatory bodies. Coordinate with internal departments (production, QA, sales, legal) and external stakeholders (freight forwarders, customs brokers, DGFT officials) to facilitate seamless export operations. Maintain accurate and complete export documentation records as per statutory requirements. Act as the primary liaison with DGFT, Ministry of Defence, Customs, and other regulatory authorities regarding export of defense and dual-use goods. Monitor, interpret, and communicate changes in export control regulations to management and relevant teams. Collaborate with international clients and partners to provide export-related certifications, end-user declarations, and compliance documentation. Manage post-shipment documentation including proof of export, reconciliation of licenses, and reporting to DGFT. Conduct internal compliance checks and audits to ensure adherence to export control policies and mitigate compliance risks. Required Qualifications Graduate degree in Commerce, International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related fields. 3-7 years of experience in export documentation and compliance, with specific experience in handling SCOMET-listed items under DGFT regulations. Strong understanding of Indian export control laws, DGFT procedures, and customs clearance for defense and dual-use goods. Practical knowledge of using DGFT online portals (DGFT Website, SCOMET portal, ICEGATE, etc.) Experience in documentation for export of drones, optronics systems, sensors, or other controlled defense/military equipment. Track program progress using appropriate KPIs and project management tools; ensure milestones are met. Interface with customers and internal stakeholders to define program requirements, manage expectations, and provide regular updates. Coordinate with supply chain, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure smooth transition from development to production. Drive problem-solving, issue resolution, and change management as needed during program lifecycle. Ensure compliance with defense/aerospace standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechanical, Optics, or related field); Master’s degree preferred. 6-10 years of experience in engineering program/project management in defense, aerospace, automotive, or high-tech hardware domains. Strong understanding of product development lifecycle for complex electro-optical or embedded systems. Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams and external partners/vendors. Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, or equivalent). Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of defense/military standards (e.g., MIL-STD, DO-178, etc.) is an advantage.

Lead and manage the Quality Control function, ensuring all materials, components, and final products meet aerospace and defense quality standards Develop and implement quality control processes aligned with AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP, and other applicable standards Oversee inspection and testing of incoming materials, in-process items, and final products using advanced tools and techniques Manage and mentor QC engineers, inspectors, and technicians, ensuring adherence to defined SOPs and training requirements Coordinate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to identify quality risks and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Interface with external auditors, certification bodies, and defense clients during quality audits and product validations Ensure proper documentation of inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), calibration records, and test certificates Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, 8D, and other quality methodologies Implement and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to quality performance and compliance Ensure calibration and maintenance of inspection and test equipment (CMM, NDT tools, etc.) Support first article inspection (FAI), product release, and configuration control per aerospace/defense contract requirements Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering 10 to 14 years of experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing industries In-depth knowledge of aerospace quality standards such as AS9100 , NADCAP , ISO 9001 , and defense product specifications Hands-on experience with quality tools: FMEA, PPAP, 8D, SPC, MSA, RCA, CAPA, etc. Familiarity with military/defense documentation protocols (e.g., DDPs, QAPs, ATPs, etc.) Proficiency in using QC instruments such as CMM, profile projectors, hardness testers, NDT tools, and GD&T Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication for audit interactions and reporting Preferred Certifications Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt NADCAP audit or process experience (e.g., welding, heat treatment, NDT)

1. Conduct detailed study and analysis of tender documents including RFP, NIT, GCC, QR, STC, VQC, annexures, and technical specifications. 2. Prepare and compile comprehensive technical and commercial proposals in line with tender requirements. 3. Handle online and offline bid submissions through GEM and various e-procurement portals, ensuring timely and accurate submission of all required bid documents. 4. Manage the entire bid process including online RA (Reverse Auction) through GEM. 5. Clarify and respond to queries during technical and financial evaluations, and support order finalization. 6. Prepare order acknowledgements, and coordinate issuance of Bank Guarantees (Performance/Security/Advance). 7. Communicate effectively with customers to ensure smooth execution of contracts and address any issues proactively. 8. Coordinate with the production team to ensure timely supply of materials as per order schedules. 9. Prepare and submit invoices along with all necessary supporting documents, and actively follow up for customer payments. 10. Manage vendor registration processes including applying for new vendor enlistments and handling renewals.
