Role & responsibilities Software Development & Implementation Lead the design, development, and implementation of software solutions to optimize container depot management, transportation, and cargo handling. Evaluate, select, and manage ERP and custom software solutions for logistics and supply chain management. Coordinate with service partners in UAE & South Africa, Cape Town for day-to-day IT requirements and support. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technology solutions. Drive automation and process improvements through technology initiatives. Oversee software development projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and industry standards. Manage software vendors and external developers, ensuring timely delivery and quality. Provide training and support to end-users to maximize software utilization. Hardware & IT Infrastructure Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, and computer systems. Ensure data security, implement backup strategies, and manage disaster recovery plans. Troubleshoot hardware and network issues, providing effective solutions. Oversee the procurement, setup, and maintenance of IT equipment. Ensure compliance with IT policies and maintain documentation for hardware and software assets. General IT Management Develop and execute the IT strategy aligned with the companys growth objectives. Monitor IT budgets, optimize costs, and manage vendor relationships. Implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices. Ensure data integrity, cybersecurity, and compliance with relevant regulations. Provide leadership and mentorship to the IT team.
