As a Software Test Engineer with a minimum of 3+ years of experience, you will be responsible for producing the Test Strategy and Test Plan using appropriate risk-driven test planning techniques. Your role will involve verifying and validating requirements, preparing and maintaining traceability matrices, identifying functional points of the system, and preparing test scenarios and design documents. You will also be involved in the preparation and execution of test cases, covering GUI, functionality, system, integration, and regression testing, as well as defect testing and reporting. In this position, you will play a key role in creating and reviewing test scripts, utilizing automation tools such as JMeter for load testing of project modules. You will ensure that all test environments meet specified requirements and are fit for testing purposes. Collaboration with platform SMEs to establish test types based on technical reviews and design documents will be an essential part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will oversee defect management processes, regression testing activities, and fault reporting procedures during testing phases. Your role will involve creating test completion reports and summarizing the final post-testing position in the "Testing is Complete" report. Monitoring the progress and effectiveness of testing, identifying potential problems, risks, and challenges, and alerting the Delivery Manager/Test Manager timely will be crucial tasks. Your technical skills will include preparing test plans, scenarios, cases, and reports, along with expertise in automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, and APM. You will demonstrate proficiency in performance/load testing using JMeter, as well as extensive knowledge of database testing, UI testing, and API testing. Familiarity with ticketing tools such as Trac and JIRA, along with a solid understanding of automation testing and performance testing, will be required. To excel in this role, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effective planning, organizing, and time management abilities. Being a quick learner with attention to detail, the ability to prioritize work, and a drive for achieving results within deadlines are essential. Demonstrating a high degree of self-motivation and tenacity to complete tasks efficiently will be key to success in this position.,
