Job Title: Senior Telematics Software / GPS Engineer Location: Gachibowli (WFO) Department: Engineering / Product Development Reports To: Engineering Manager / CTO Experience: 12+ years in software development with 8+ years in telematics or automotive software. About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Technical Software Development expert with deep expertise in designing and developing telematics software solutions . You will play a crucial role in shaping intelligent, scalable, and secure products that drive innovation in the connected vehicle ecosystem . You will be responsible for end-to-end software architecture, development, integration , and optimization of telematics systems and services. Key Responsibilities Architect, design, and develop scalable and robust telematics software solutions (vehicle tracking, fleet management, sensor integration, etc.). Manage a team of developers and BAs; collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, hardware teams, data scientists, and QA engineers . Work on real-time data processing, edge computing, GPS systems, CAN bus protocols , and IoT device integration . Develop and maintain APIs, microservices , and backend systems supporting telematics platforms . Ensure system performance, reliability, and security with best practices in software development and data protection . Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation , and mentoring junior developers . Stay updated with emerging trends in automotive software, connected vehicle technologies , and regulatory standards . Requirements Technical Skills Strong programming experience in Python, Java, C++, or Go. Solid understanding of IoT protocols ( MQTT, HTTP, TCP/IP ). Experience with GPS tracking, vehicle diagnostics (OBD-II, CAN) or ADAS systems. Knowledge of cloud platforms ( AWS, Azure, GCP ) and CI/CD pipelines. Proficient with databases ( PostgreSQL, MongoDB, InfluxDB ) and real-time data streaming ( Kafka, MQTT brokers ). Familiarity with embedded systems and firmware integration is a plus. Exposure to machine learning or predictive analytics in telematics is advantageous.
