This is a full-time role with our global engineering client and is open for candidates located in Chennai/Mumbai. As a member of the team, you will support the Commercial function in handling technical topics and take ownership of the technical scope in tenders. In this role, you will also assist the Lead Engineer with calculations and documentation. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance of cable systems with internal requirements, international standards, and client specifications. It is essential to maintain alignment between technical proposals and tender strategies and take charge of the assigned technical scope. Additionally, following established Engineering processes and design premises is crucial for success. Success in this role will be measured by the on-time and high-quality delivery of the assigned scope, along with strict adherence to Engineering processes. Your primary tasks will involve analyzing tender requirements, performing cable system design work, assessing qualification needs, and proposing qualification plans. You will also interface with various departments within the organization, present technical proposals to clients, and compile relevant documentation. Key interfaces for this role include Tender Engineering, Commercial and Tender, Sales, Planning, and High Voltage Labs. The ideal candidate for this position should hold an MTech/M.E/BE/BTech degree in electrical or high voltage engineering. You should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in HV/EHV background or 2-3 years of experience in cable system design. Additionally, 2-3 years of experience in thermal/electrical calculations and compiling tender documentation is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Comsol, Matlab, and preferably AutoCad is required for this role.,
