Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Technical Strategy & Development

  • Develop functional design, define the technology roadmap, selecting the best software architecture (custom or existing solution).
  • Lead the customization and integration of the AI-powered applicant tracking system (ATS) or similar system.
  • Oversee the development of the platform and recruitment features integration.

Team Building & Leadership

  • Manage and supervise engineers, designers, and AI specialists.
  • Coordinate with outsourced development teams and ensure smooth collaboration.
  • Establish best practices for agile development, security, and scalability.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with founders, HR teams, and external partners to align technical execution with business goals.
  • Ensure the platform meets compliance standards (GDPR, data security, etc.).
  • Regularly report progress, challenges, and key decisions.

Key Skill Requirements:

  • Academic background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Masters degree is an advantage).
  • Strong extracurricular activities and a track record of participation in coding competitions, hackathons, or similar technical events are a plus.
  • Technical Expertise

  • Strong background in full-stack development (React, Node.js, Python, Django, or similar).
  • 6+ years of experience with AI-driven applications (machine learning, NLP, recommendation systems).
  • Familiarity with ATS, HR Tech, or recruitment platforms is a plus.
  • Startup & Leadership Experience

  • Prior experience in a fast-growing startup or leading early-stage tech development.
  • Ability to build and scale technical teams from scratch.
  • Strong decision-making and project management skills.
  • Product & Business Understanding

  • Experience working with product teams, UX designers, and business leaders.
  • Ability to balance technical innovation with business needs.
  • Knowledge of European HR and recruitment trends is a plus.
