Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Calculate accurate wages, including any bonuses, salary increases or overtime.
  • Calculate any tax or national insurance and pensions contributions.
  • Calculate statutory payments, such as maternity, paternity and sick leave.
  • Should be able setup new company, process starters and leavers Ensuring timely RTI and Pension submissions Operating knowledge of Auto enrolment (AE) and Pension upload
  • Handle and respond to discrepancies and queries relating to payroll. Liaising with HMRC and clients

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge of UK payroll, taxes and compliances.
  • Should have team managing experience
  • Computer skills in Word, Outlook and Excel with experience using spreadsheets and databases.
  • Knowledge of Software - Xero, Brightpay, payrollmanager, moneysoft, FreeAgent and other payroll software Pension providers - Nest, Aviva, Peoplespension, smartpension, Salvarsmastertrust, nowpension, Truepotential Understanding of ongoing legislative changes which affect payroll.
  • Excellent Verbal and Writing Skills
