Role & responsibilities Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Assist in the preparation of management reports and presentations for senior leadership. General Ledger Management: Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely. Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations. Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal controls. Month-End & Year-End Closing: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete. Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary information for closing. Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for audits. Compliance & Taxation: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and reporting requirements. Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, including GST, TDS, and income tax. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting standards. Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with departments to prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis. Recommend corrective actions to address financial discrepancies. Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and train junior accounting staff. Review and approve their work to ensure accuracy and compliance. Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment. Required Qualifications : Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 1 years in a senior role. Certifications: Professional certifications such as CA (India), CPA, or CMA are preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software Tally prime and advanced Excel skills. Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards (IND AS), GST, TDS, and other regulatory requirements.
