Job Description

Label Unallume Private Limited is seeking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our fashion house, specializing in high-quality garment construction, alterations, and finishing. The ideal candidate has experience in luxury or designer fashion, a deep understanding of garment structure, and a commitment to craftsmanship and precision. Key Responsibilities: Garment Construction: Interpret design sketches and technical specifications to create custom or sample garments. Cut, sew, and assemble garments with high accuracy, using hand and machine sewing techniques. Select appropriate fabrics, linings, and materials as required by the design brief. Alterations & Fittings: Conduct fittings with clients or models to ensure proper garment fit. Pin, mark, and perform precise alterations based on fitting feedback. Provide expert advice on fit, drape, and garment modifications. Quality Control: Inspect finished garments for quality, ensuring proper stitching, finishing, and overall presentation. Make necessary corrections to meet the fashion houses quality standards. Collaboration: Work closely with designers, pattern makers, and seamstresses to execute design visions. Communicate effectively with the production team to meet deadlines and resolve technical issues. Maintenance & Organization: Maintain sewing machines and work tools in good condition. Keep the atelier clean, organized, and efficient for high-volume or bespoke production cycles. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a tailor, preferably in a designer label or fashion house. Excellent knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and tailoring techniques. Skilled in hand sewing, industrial sewing machines, and pressing tools. Strong understanding of body measurements, proportions, and garment fitting. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
