Job Description

You are a Systems Engineer with 6 to 7 years of experience in Linux Administration, particularly in RHEL, SLES, or OEL. In this role, you will operate within a hybrid model during day shifts, focusing on optimizing systems and ensuring smooth operations. Experience in Governance Risk & Compliance and Finance & Accounting would be beneficial in contributing to the company's objectives. Your responsibilities will include managing and maintaining Linux systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. You will be responsible for implementing system upgrades and patches to enhance security and functionality. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to integrate Linux systems with the existing infrastructure. Providing technical support and troubleshooting for Linux-related issues to minimize downtime is a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will need to develop and document system configurations and procedures for efficient operations. Monitoring system performance and implementing improvements to optimize resource utilization will be part of your daily tasks. Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards in system management is crucial. You will also be involved in assisting in the development of disaster recovery plans to safeguard data integrity and conducting regular system audits to identify and address potential vulnerabilities. Your role will involve facilitating seamless communication between IT and other departments to support business objectives. Utilizing your domain knowledge in Governance Risk & Compliance will help enhance system security measures. Applying insights from Finance & Accounting to optimize system processes and reporting will be expected. Ultimately, you will contribute to the company's mission by ensuring a robust and secure IT infrastructure. To excel in this position, you should demonstrate proficiency in Linux Administration, specifically with RHEL, SLES, or OEL systems. Strong analytical skills are required to identify and resolve system issues efficiently. Excellent communication skills will be essential for collaborating with diverse teams effectively. Familiarity with Governance Risk & Compliance principles and a foundational understanding of Finance & Accounting will be advantageous for supporting system integration.
