• Lead the design, development, and implementation of motor and actuation control systems for AMRs, forklifts, and conveyor systems.
• Develop advanced motor drivers for traction, servo, and conveyor motors, ensuring optimal performance and integration with overall system architecture.
• Design and implement safety systems incorporating lidar drivers, bumpers, and proximity sensors to meet high safety standards and regulations.
• Work closely with the firmware team to develop and optimize code for motor control and safety functionalities, using C and C++.
• Oversee the hardware development process, including digital and analogue circuit design, microcontroller integration, and connection layout for motor control units.
• Conduct rigorous testing and verification of motor control systems and safety mechanisms to ensure they meet product specifications and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with mechanical and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electronic systems into mechanical designs.
• Manage the integration of RTOS for task management and resource allocation in complex control systems.
• Utilize a variety of communication protocols (I2C, CAN, EtherCAT, SPI, UART) to facilitate robust system communications.
• Apply best practices for debugging and testing, using tools like JTAG, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes, to swiftly identify and rectify system issues.
• Lead sensor integration efforts, focusing on calibration, data collection, and motor controller algorithm development.
• Conceptualize and operationalize the solution, document them for development, and ensure that the latest technology is being used for the development.
• Finalizing the solution with stakeholders and subsequently identifying vendors based on technical requirements, in collaboration with the SCM team, and arranging POCs for vendors.
• Release engineering BOM as per the internal process and actively work on prototype development and ensure its testing.
• Handle the issues reported by the After Sales Team and provide the necessary support.
• Maintain the documentation of products and projects as per the company process.
