Position: Mainframe Developer Job Location: Chennai /Bangalore/ Kochi Company : Aspire Systems Job Type : Permanent Experience: 6 to 10 Years Notice Period: 30 Days Job Description Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of mainframe-based systems running on z/OS . Work extensively on TSO , ISPF , JCL , and mainframe utilities within STAR and SYS2 LPARs environments. Coordinate with product owners, architects, QA, and business teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Own and manage all deliverables from design through deployment, ensuring alignment with SAFe Agile principles. Act as the primary point of contact for technical escalations and issue resolution. Guide and mentor offshore development teams; ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Participate in Agile ceremonies including PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives. Ensure high quality and performance of delivered code through code reviews and performance tuning. Document and maintain system designs, configuration, and other technical deliverables. Mainframe Technologies: TSO/ISPF JCL z/OS REXX VSAM COBOL (preferred) File-Aid, Abend-AID Systems & LPAR Expertise: Hands-on experience with STAR and SYS2 LPARs Deep understanding of LPAR configurations, batch processing, and security protocols on z/OS Agile & Leadership Skills: Minimum 2 years of experience working in SAFe Agile or scaled Agile environments Please share the profile if you are interested at Sharmila.Palani@aspiresys.com for immediate response.
