Role & responsibilities Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Kubernetes & Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Pune. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD practices. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days of in-office presence per week. Key Responsibilities: Architect, design, and manage scalable Kubernetes infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments. Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for OS image builds compatible with both bare-metal and VM environments using a unified codebase. Independently create and manage hypervisor templates. Automate Kubernetes cluster provisioning across various hypervisors and cloud platforms. Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform, Terragrunt, and Ansible. Apply GitOps methodologies for configuration management and deployment workflows. Work with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Azure. Utilize tools like SUSE Rancher, AKS, SUSE Longhorn, and Packer for image creation and infrastructure automation Required Skills & Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and Kubernetes orchestration. Strong hands-on expertise with Linux-based systems (Ubuntu/SUSE). Experience with container runtimes and automation frameworks. Proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices, especially for OS image builds. Solid experience with IaC tools Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible. Hands-on with GitOps workflows. Experience with SUSE Rancher, AKS, SUSE Longhorn. Familiarity with VMware vSphere and Microsoft Azure environments. Strong scripting and troubleshooting skills. Preferred candidate profile Nice to Have: Certification in Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) or relevant cloud certifications. Experience in building and maintaining infrastructure in regulated environments (e.g., finance, healthcare).
