Storekeeper

Storekeepers are responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth operation of a store or warehouse:

• Inventory management: Storekeepers are responsible for maintaining inventory records, including receiving, storing, and tracking supplies. They also perform physical inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy.
• Ordering and purchasing: Storekeepers may select suppliers, place purchase orders, and prepare specifications for materials and products. They may also maintain petty cash funds.
• Receiving and storing: Storekeepers receive and unload freight, and ensure that incoming goods are accurately documented. They also store items in an orderly and accessible manner.
• Distribution: Storekeepers issue supplies, fill requisitions, and coordinate the dispatch and delivery of goods.
• Safety: Storekeepers ensure that hazardous materials are stored safely and that the store building and work environment are safe.
• Collaboration: Storekeepers may collaborate with other departments to support customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Record keeping: Storekeepers may maintain records of orders, sales, and other relevant information.
• Advising: Storekeepers may advise customers or other users on the appropriateness of parts, supplies, or materials.

Note: Salary would be negotiable.
