Role & responsibilities Please find the below JD, Storage Administrator - Level L2 (Dell EMC / NetApp) Job Summary: The Storage Administrator will manage, monitor, and maintain storage infrastructure with a focus on Dell EMC and NetApp systems. As a Level 2 administrator, the role involves resolving complex issues, ensuring data integrity, optimizing storage performance, and supporting business continuity. The candidate will collaborate with other IT teams to deliver reliable storage services and assist in designing and implementing solutions. Key Responsibilities : Storage Management : Assist in managing storage systems (SAN, NAS, etc.), ensuring proper storage allocation, monitoring, and performance tuning. Backup and Recovery : Support the backup infrastructure by ensuring regular backups of critical data are completed, as well as supporting disaster recovery operations. Troubleshooting : Provide first-level and second-level support for storage-related issues, collaborating with senior team members when necessary. Monitoring and Reporting : Monitor storage resources and data backup performance, generate reports, and address any performance or capacity issues proactively. System Maintenance : Help in routine maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and performance enhancements of storage systems. Documentation : Assist in maintaining documentation for storage systems, configurations, and backup processes. Collaboration : Work with other IT teams (network, security, servers) to ensure seamless data storage management and security. Required Skills : Basic Understanding of Storage Technologies : Familiarity with Storage Area Networks (SAN), Network-Attached Storage (NAS), and direct-attached storage. Backup Systems Knowledge : Understanding of backup tools and strategies such as Veeam, NetBackup, etc. Troubleshooting Skills : Ability to identify, isolate, and resolve issues within storage systems. Preferred Qualifications : Experience with enterprise-level storage platforms (EMC, NetApp, IBM, etc.). Certifications like CompTIA Storage+, Dell EMC Proven Professional, or NetApp Certified Data Administrator are a plus. Basic knowledge of cloud storage solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is advantageous.
