Roles and Responsibilities: Job Purpose Engineering of electrical deliverables for streel processing line. Monitor project activity and work progress. Overall coordination with client/vendors and within inter-departments for execution and timely completion of projects. Key Result Area Timely completion of Project as per schedule Control of cost within budgets Timely receipt of client payments as per schedule Self & Subordinate Development Quality of Engineering deliverables Key Responsibilities Coordinate with all the departments for project activities to complete it on time by providing client requirements as and when required within the stipulated time frame & cost. Scheduling of project systems Generation of Motor Component List, functional description and basic engineering. Coordinate with client for project requirements and updates on progress of projects. Manage and coordinate all changes/deviations in engineering and design. Manage and coordinate with manufacturing, assembly, and dispatch departments for timely and completeness of dispatch. Preparation of project reports Generating system specifications Checking & approval of drawings submitted by Electrical system supplier. Checking of Cable schedules and Cable routing engineering Inspection of systems at vendor s work Conducting SIT with electrical supplier and customer to check software as per functional description. Qualification and Experience The candidate should be an Bachelor of Electrical / Instrumentation / Electronics Engineering with 8-10 years of experience in steel processing (downstream) Knowledge of SAP Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Technical Competencies Thorough knowledge of Electrical / Instrumentation / Electronics equipment parts. This QA Manager role is critical to ensure process reliability, product conformance, compliance, and plant-wide quality culture . Role Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and drive all quality control and assurance operations at our manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in steel or metal processing , a firm understanding of ISO 9001/IATF 16949 standards , and a proven ability to manage teams, improve quality systems, and interface with cross-functional departments to eliminate defects and improve yield. Key Responsibilities Quality Planning & System Implementation Develop, implement, and enforce plant-wide quality control policies, SOPs, and inspection standards Establish and maintain compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 , and other applicable certifications Design and monitor adherence to incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality checks Team Supervision & Training Lead and supervise the quality assurance team , inspectors, and analysts Define roles, responsibilities, and KPIs for QA team members Train plant staff on QA protocols, document control, inspection practices , and root cause analysis Inspection, Auditing & Compliance Conduct regular internal audits, inspections, and process assessments Lead preparation and coordination of external audits by clients or certifying bodies Maintain documented records and traceability for all production and inspection activities Ensure regulatory and environmental compliance Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions Lead or support RCA (Root Cause Analysis) efforts for product failures, defects, or deviations Use tools like 8D, Fishbone, 5 Why, CAPA, Pareto analysis to close gaps Implement preventive and corrective action plans for recurring quality issues Data Analysis & Reporting Analyze quality trends, rejections, rework, scrap, and customer complaints Generate periodic reports on quality metrics, yield, inspection effectiveness, and team performance Present reports to senior management with actionable improvement plans Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with production, maintenance, PPC, dispatch, and engineering teams Review customer requirements and product specs to align quality control checkpoints Assist in resolving supplier quality issues and product traceability Budgeting & Continuous Improvement Manage the plant QA budget for consumables, tools, training, and audits Identify and lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies Qualifications & Requirements Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy Minimum 10 years of QA experience in manufacturing (preferably steel/metals/engineering) Prior experience leading QA in a plant or processing unit is essential Strong knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, and ISO standards Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), MSA, FMEA, CAPA Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and familiarity with ERP/QMS software Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory but a Plus) Certified Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 Internal Auditor Key Skills Quality Management Systems Root Cause Analysis & CAPA ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 Compliance SPC & Process Auditing Data-Driven Quality Reporting Problem Solving & Decision Making Team Leadership & Training Microsoft Excel & Documentation Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma Cross-Functional Coordination What Success Looks Like Audit scores consistently improved year-on-year Plant rejection, rework, and scrap rates reduced with measurable impact Strong quality culture embedded within operations Team performs proactively and independently Customer complaints drop while internal compliance rises

Job Purpose Plan and deliver on key engineering and process development for Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Lubrication, Roll Coolant System equipments and systems for strip processing lines and Cold rolling Mills, that enable to achieve operational excellence and support the growth objectives of the organisation. Key Result Areas Development and sustenance of engineering equipments, processes and systems Meeting the targets around Quality, Delivery and Cost Innovation mindset to bring in new designs to improve functionality and reduce cost. Key Responsibilities Understand the contract requirements and develop technical specifications and schematics for related hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, Roll Coolant systems and equipments. Preparation of Request for Quote, work with suppliers to get offers, evaluate the same, and release for formal ordering. Circuit diagram and General Assembly drawing approval for these systems. Follow up with Suppliers for receipt of all documentation on time. Work in team with group leaders, Engineers, and Designers within Engineering and other functions Create and check engineering related documents as per the Quality Management System (QMS) and Design Approval Matrix. Aid manufacturing in case of any design queries. Keep themselves abreast of the new technologies and imbibe the same in product design and development. Communication with customer, participation in technical discussions with customer Co-ordination with Erection and commissioning for site support Education and Experience The candidate should be BE/B TECH in Mechanical / Production Engineering from Reputed college. 5+ years in System design (Hydraulics/Pneumatics) for Steel Processing lines and Cold rolling mills. Candidate worked in multinational company will be an added advantage. Background, Skills, and Competencies : - Technical specifications generation for systems ie Hydraulic / Coolant / Lubrication / Air-Oil / Pneumatic /Wet Skin Pass System / High Pressure Spraying System / Selective cooling spray System Hydraulic and Pneumatic circuit and schematics generation Basic hydraulic and pneumatic calculation knowledge AutoCAD Mechanical proficiency. Inventor (preferred) Ability to work with 3rd party suppliers of systems. Ability to work ,follow up and check suppliers of Engineering ,if outsourced. Ability to bring innovation in design to improve functionality and reduce cost. Good Interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills. Ability to work in an Agile environment in a Collaborative way
